Blogs I like

M.E/Disability Advocacy

Laurel’s Severe M.E Blog – A truly honest, and harrowing, account, on living with very severe M.E

Matthew’s Blog – Blogistan – Great for current affairs,  issues affecting Muslims, M.E. and disability activism. One of the best blogs out there, period.

Dannie’s Blog – Forget M.E Not, an honest personal account of what Severe M.E is like.

News and Current Affairs

Matthew’s Blog – Blogistan – Great for current affairs,  issues affecting Muslims, M.E. and disability activism. One of the best blogs out there, period.

Myriam Francois-Cerrah’s Blog – Great for journalism, current affairs, anti-colonialism and all sorts of important subjects! I think she’s perhaps one of the most clear-minded and honest Muslim voices in the media today.

The Student Journals – In my opinion one of the best student-media site out there for budding journalists at school and university to speak their minds! I have a profile page there too.

A Bigger Society – A collection of blogs from a wide-range of contributers. Very readable.

Life on Wheels – I’m so glad Jody is blogging again after quite a break. It was tricky where to place him, category wise! If you’ve not read him before, just start with his two posts on ‘Being a Muslim in Europe‘

Here he covers everything from contemporary politics, religion, disability activism. He seems the sort of chap I’d like to meet some day, his narratives are compelling and I’ve been a fan ever since my university days back in 2010.

Religion, Philosophy, Big ideas

The Accidental Theologist– Lesley Hazelton’s blog on many things spiritual and philosophical. An open-minded, sincere account of her journey, which is beautifully-written.

A Bigger Society – A collection of blogs from a wide-range of contributers. Very readable.

Writing

Cristian Mihai’s Blog – A recent discovery – I think he’s a truly insightful writer who has a way of talking about his craft with much love and honesty.

The Voice Within – A great blog following Laura’s Journey through her writing career. She’s a truly special soul.

Equal Writes – Fatihah Iman is a vivid and talented writer (of Sci-Fi particularly); not to mention a really funny read- I’ve enjoyed going through her old posts!
